cheFare is a not-for-profit platform for cultural transformation.
It was born in 2012 with the Premio cheFare prize, the first prize in Italy for innovative cultural projects. During 3 editions the prize awarded 350.000€ to projects chosen from a pool of 1.800 submissions voted online by 180.000 users and judged by a selected jury of experts in culture.
From this experience, cheFare became a platform to map, connect and support grassroots cultural organizations through a continuous activity of conferences, public activities, workshops and seminars where experts and artists are involved to help big and small cultural organizations to face increasingly greater cultural and political challenges. So far, we nurtured the potential of our network of cultural playmakers in more than 15 national and international projects.
We bring together policy makers, researchers, cultural institutions and grassroots activists through live events and by fueling a growing debate via ‘Almanacco’, our online magazine about cultural innovation.
cheFare is a non-profit cultural organization founded in December 2014 by Tiziano Bonini, Marianna De Martin, Francesco Franceschi, Giacomo Giossi, Marco Liberatore, Bertram Niessen, Valeria Verdolini.
